According to the Polish division of the physical and geographical units (1978 J.Kondracki) area of operation of the Association "Together for Radomka" is located within the Plains of Radom, contained in the Land of the South Hills of Mazovia, which includes low-lying terrain, cut through the valley of the river and its tributaries Radomka.

Radomka River - formerly known as Radomierz, the left-bank tributary of the Vistula. Derives from sources in the woods about 4 km south of Przysucha. At Radomka shortly after adoption of the main tributaries (the righteous Jabłonica and Szabasówka) a barier was build and created Zalew Domaniowski ( aprox. 500 ha). The second artificial lake with an area (5 ha) is located in Topornia.

Radomka River Valley is characterized by a great diversity of vegetation in the agricultural landscape preserved enclaves of semi-natural floodplains, which forms a valuable natural complex. LGD forested area is relatively large. However, the distribution of forests is uneven. Forests forms a compact complex in south-western part of the district.

Within the area are presented following teams of nature and landscape:

  • Reserve Forest in Radomka "Puszcza u źródeł Radomki" - 73,48 ha was established in 1978 in the central part of Gielniowski Garb, 7 km to the south-west from Przysucha. Serves to protect the trees lying on theRadomka left bank. Some specimens of oaks and pines reach up to 150 years, and 30 m in height. In the vicinity of the reserve, in the Radomka valley are ponds attract waterfowl and mud - you can meet the gray heron, black stork, Wood Sandpiper and numerous species of ducks.
  • Radomka River Valley"Dolina rzeki Radomki"(gm: Przysucha i Borkowice) - is a protected landscape area of the single forms of animate and inanimate nature, and numerous monuments of nature
  • "Podlesie"(gm. Przysucha) - Nature Reserve was established in 1989, Protected fragments were partially covered by the communities of conifer and mixed forests with a predominance or mixed fir and traces of mining activities associated with the mining of iron ore.
  • Natural Landscape "Dolina Dobrzycy" - gm. Przytyk,
  • Jablonica River Valley - gm. Wieniawa
  • Local Natural Area, "Plec" - gm. Wieniawa.

The environmental system allowed the creation of a network of cycling tourist routes.

Develop a network of bicycle routes - travel was possible especially after the opening on September 8 2000 "zalew domaniowski". The waters on the river have been dammed up by the Radomka barrier 660m long and 10m high. Retention of a water reservoir - has 500 acres of recreational water surface, 6 km long and from 600 - 1200 m wide. Reservoir shoreline land use for recreation and rest - took to the authority of municipalities Przytyk, Wolanów and Wieniawa bordering the reservoir Associations Radomka, and the city of Radom and counties bordering the River.

The first traces of settlement in the territory of the Association of Local Action Groups "Together for Radomka" are from the years 990. At that time, were first fortified towns such as Skrzyńsko Skrzynno and, in addition to their craft formed settlements - fair, which later evolved into the city. The first memories of the sediments, which later became the seat of municipalities for LGD are from the fourteenth and fifteenth century.

Attractive location at the crossroads of ancient trade routes determined the further development of this area. These areas are not spared the turmoil of history: the Swedish army, the Napoleonic wars, uprisings-1830, 1863, and tragedies at I and II World War. The periods of splendor, and the tragic events remind architectural monuments, historical buildings and objects, which by the operation of the Association remained fairly numerous. Jedlinsk and Przysucha have the richest material of historical past.

Total area of "Together for Radomka" also boasts interesting associations with figures of famous people. One of the most interesting character is a knight Mikołaj Powała of Taczów. In the Middle Ages was considered one of the most prominent Polish knights. In view of its military capability has been charged under the reign of Jagiełło against the council of war. Taczów now Zakrzewo parish, was his ancestral headquarters. Powała of Taczów episodic character is in "Teutonic Knights" by Henryk Sienkiewicz and several feature films including "The Ring of Princess Anna" directed by Maria Kaniewska.

From the Łabędziów family( who during the Renaissance built mansion in Żukow) came Mszczuj from Skrzynno, who according to legend, killed Ulrich von Jungingen, Grand Master of the Teutonic Knights in the Battle of Grunwald.

Przysucha is the hometown of Oskar Kolberg. There is a museum bearing his name, which are collected and made available to the public exhibits and materials associated with that character. Regular feature of the exhibition is the "Oskar Kolberg - ethnographer, folklorist and composer - (1814 -1890)." The town is also linked to the history of Jewish settlement, which has developed in these areas in a dynamic way from the early eighteenth century, the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries Przysucha became the center of Hasidism( Yakov Rabinovich (Holy Jew).) Remnant of this period is considered most magnificent synagogue prayer house of the Jews in the subregion. In the Jewish settlement Przytyk evolved since the seventeenth century, the early twentieth century, Jews made up more than 80% of the total population Przytyk.

On march 9 1936 street clashes pogrom called Jews. During the Second World War the Germans deported approximately 2 700 Jews to ghettos in Szydlowiec and Przysucha. The district is located in The Sands of the Jewish cemetery, which survived only a few tombstones. This is the only trace of the numerous here before World War II Jewish minority. The history Przytyk is also tied to the form of one of the most famous Polish poet Jan Kochanowski, who in 1570 married Dorothy Podlodowską from Przytyk. In the vicinity of Jedlińsk (village Wsola) Witold Gombrowicz and his family lived. It was here that he worked on one of his major novels -"Ferdydurke". In 1794.

In Jedlinsk area Kościuszko quartered. Even today in Jedlinsk people are cultivated a "decapitation of death".It comes from 1778, which takes place annually on the last Tuesday before Lent. Historical spectacle - the ritual, the only of its kind, attracts tourists last day of carnival and activates people to participate in the cultural life of the commune. The intention of the Association of Local Action Group,"Together for Radomka" is that area of six municipalities in which the work has become a competitive space, so attractive for both residents and tourists.
